My Algorithm this Week: Interesting yet Bizarre

As someone who is chronically online, I would like to share the good, the bad, and the questionable things I encounter every week, based on my algorithm.

Ring My Bell to the Bank:

This week's most talked-about Hot Topic is a post by user GoddessInanna15. She suggested that the 1979 song ' Ring My Bell' could help you find streams of income and confidence. The song is known for its seductive lyrics and upbeat groove. Now, it is also known for its high frequencies, numerology, and manifesting lyrics, which can help attract abundance. The video gained significant popularity. It was mentioned on Wall Street, in international news outlets, and even used by Paris Hilton this week. Another creator claimed the song was banned in casinos, but this was debunked. Still, I enjoy an uplifting playlist anytime, anywhere.

Libyan Lover:

Every now and then, I get random shipping (desired relationship) edits of the former United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and the late Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi on my TikTok For You page. In 2007, it was reported that Gaddafi had a crush on Rice. A year later, Rice visited Libya hoping to improve U.S.-Libyan relations. She unknowingly deepened Gaddafi's one-sided crush. The full intensity was revealed in 2011 when Gaddafi's home was raided, and a scrapbook dedicated to Rice was found. He often gave her nicknames like "Leezza" and "African Princess," and created a photo montage set to the song "Black Flower in the White House." I was too young to understand geopolitics then, so finding this random, evidence-based information fascinates me yet creeps me out.

Now, moving from internet oddities to musical revivals, let's talk about the renewed interest in Kate Bush:

The revival of Kate Bush:

Since Running Up the Hill regained popularity as the featured song for Stranger Things season 4, the younger generation has delved deeper into Kate Bush's discography. With her unique voice, whimsical performances, and captivating storytelling lyrics, Kate's timeless music gives listeners a sense of true art that has not been ruined or influenced by big-name music corporations or trends of the time. Bush's mystical, fairy yet powerful energy gives an unapologetic feeling that many are stepping into during this trivial time. Along with Running Up That Hill, Wuthering Heights regained popularity in 2023 during Australia's annual Wuthering Heights Day. The song maintained its popularity in 2026 to promote the novel-turned-movie. One song that has gained even more of an attraction is 'Army Dreamers', an anti-war song that talks about the hypothetical life of a young fallen soldier and how war has affected his mother. With ongoing international conflicts, this song speaks to many who have lost loved ones while serving in a war. This segment only scratches the surface of Bush's incredible talent and discography, which I will definitely cover in a separate segment.

Potted Meat Sandwiches:

Times are tough. I always pick up a few food items from Dollar Tree or other discount stores whenever I am low on cash. In case you didn't know, when major supermarkets have excess inventory, delivery trucks contact nearby discount stores about extra products they have to distribute. One item I never knew existed until this week is potted meat. Often in a can like Vienna sausages, potted meat is a blended version of the sausages. We are told not to "yuck someone's yum," but the texture and color leave many first-time tasters confused. One account posted a TikTok of her potted meat sandwich recipe: it included a mix of meat, relish, mayo, and a slice of cheese. Some said it wasn't as bad as it seemed. I might pass on this recipe. However, if you want $10 recipes for the week, let me know!

That's a wrap on this week's discoveries! Let me know your thoughts or if anything interesting caught your eye.
